After being closed for five years this 400 year old pub was reopened by a local family in November 2015. The public bar / lounge has a pool room off and also a separate lower front room. A large multi-fuel stove is situated between the lounge and pool room. There is an outdoor rear patio area. Opening hours may vary according to demand. The pub was closed from winter 2018 -2019 and reopened in February 2024. There is a handwritten notice inside the back window: "Closed until further notice." (It is undated but observed on 15 September 2025.). Posted on Facebook in December 2025 - "We are hoping to open on the 5th of February 2026. There will be a new Facebook page as well as a new website but simply we will be serving - Drinks, Welsh where possible, traditional Pub food, Thai food and letting rooms. Diolch, Ian a Mina"
